Pavonis

Every time I put this knit down, I forgot what was going on and took forever to pick it up again. I found the pattern counter intuitive and it didn't have the pleasing counting-symmetry that I find so soothing in most lace.

But, as a friend pointed out, the spine blends in beautifully with the rest of the pattern, and the end result is rather lovely to behold.

So, now I have myself a cashmere shawl to wear. Maybe one day it will be cool enough in Melbourne to put on, but not today. Today will be 31 degrees. In late March.

It is time to move somewhere colder.

heh. if I hadn't seen this I would have assumed today was going to be like yesterday and tomorrow, fairly cool. Ah, Melbourne weather - charmingly unpredictable :)

Dear old Melbourne, I jest when I say I'll leave you. Mostly.
