Batwing II -















This is the second time I have made this shawl. Its real name is not Batwing, but Irish Diamond Shawl.




















The last rows of garter stitch and the binding off were not as crazy-making as the first one, so maybe I have learned something about pacing myself. Or maybe it was all that Gilmore Girls.

Finished Batwing - Hurrah!

All there, but for the blocking and the weaving in of the ends.

My computer had a go at taking the picture.















Not bad, for a little computer.

Resources and Progress

An excellent gathering of cast offs.

The Spindleshanks jumper has stalled,

















But progress continues, apace, on the Batwing shawl.















You see, I have to finish it before I can begin the mystery stole,
















and the first clue for that came out two days ago.

Roll Call for WiPs - Knitting that has been worked on in the last four weeks

Spindleshanks Jumper - Based on the Seamless Hybrid by Elizabeth Zimmerman, inspired by Brooklyntweed, using Jo Sharp DK Wool Tweed in Blueberry on 4mm Addi Turbos with a bit of leftover DK Silkroad for the hems, started Monday 28th of June.

Batwing Shawl II - Using the Irish Diamond Shawl pattern in Folk Shawls by Cheryl Oberle. This is the second time I have knit this shawl, thus demonstrating the dulling effect time has on all pain.

EZ Mittens - From the pattern in Knitting Around, using Naturally Haven 4ply on 3mm Clover bamboo dpns.

Toe Up Socks - My first pair of toe ups, made using a pattern I made up which is a combination of a technique a knitter taught me in Shang Hai and a picture of a heel on Grumperina's site. Using Regia Bamboo in two different colours. I have both the feet done in one colour and have just got a second ball from Sockmonster to make the legs.
