Ever knit something for someone else and then not want to give it away?

They don't actually know I was going to give it to them...

I think keeping a baby blanket requires that you have a baby...

That *someone* has a baby. Otherwise it will be a long time before I knit any baby blankets.

I no longer have any babies but I am keeping the baby blanket I knitted. Also, I think it is important to always have a spare blanket on hand. (You must have a pretty good collection now)
Would the person with the baby love the blanket as much as you do?

I don't know if they'll love it or not. And I'm pretty sure they have central heating and stuff, so they probably won't need it.

Keep it - its a good knee rug/security blanket

That is a tremendously beautiful and cuddly looking lap blanket. Who says you have to waste it on a baby? It's not like they're aware enough to appreciate it anyway.

You have inspired me to fess up too - I've been knitting baby blankets for other peoples babies, then keeping them for MINE, and re-gifting unworn baby outfits instead. Am I a bad person?
